Blog goes public! Ta-da!

Hi Everyone!
Until now this has been a private-ish blog because I didn’t tell anyone about it. I decided today that I would tell my writing group friends on WriteWords (the most lovely and supportive people ever) that I have a blog.
The reason I didn’t spill the beans before is because I can be a little bit caustic about writing. I was slightly worried that they would think that they would think I was mad or depressed. Then I remembered that they had read the first part of disturbing novel Life: Immaterial! So I’m not so worried.
Seriously, I have had a great day. I re birthed my consultancy with a new name today – Social Analysis and Research Services. I went to see my friends at the university where I did my PhD for a co-researching and participatory psychology seminar. It was the first time since I became a Doctor that I had returned, the first time I had been perceived as not a student and it was fantastic. Someone was presenting a paper and they said that they were scared and self conscious and I thought that I knew how that felt. At one time I would be sick and cry before presenting. Now I’m not so bad! It’s also been a year this weekend since I started to write seriously and I feel like it’s a milestone. Now, after all the good comments I have had about my writing, I don;t feel so self-conscious about that either.
Anyhow, to end this good day I am now going to post the blog address and ask them to link.
So, welcome to my world everyone!
